Food processing equipment may handle sticky ingredients, oils, syrups, food acids and moisture while operating through repeated cleaning cycles. Cleaning agents, changing temperatures and continuous production can place different demands on fluid-contact, sealing, guiding and moving components.
Material decisions therefore need to address residue buildup, cleanability, component wear and process consistency together. The appropriate solution depends on the actual ingredient or process fluid, cleaning environment, operating conditions, geometry and mechanical load.
Fluid Handling
Ingredient transfer and liquid food processing systems may handle syrups, oils, flavorings, process liquids and cleaning media across tubing, valves, pumps and connected assemblies.

Seals & Gaskets

Seal geometry, pressure, temperature, mating surfaces, cleaning conditions and the specific material grade all affect performance. Food-contact suitability and supporting documentation should therefore be confirmed for each application.

Material Selection
