Golden Collar supplies PTFE rods made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) for industrial fabrication, machining and custom component production.
Molded PTFE rods are suitable for larger diameters, while extruded PTFE rods provide a practical option for continuous production in common industrial sizes. Standard and custom diameters are available according to material grade and production requirements.
Rods can be supplied in virgin PTFE or selected filled PTFE grades, depending on wear, creep, chemical and dimensional requirements.

Molded PTFE Rods
Molded PTFE rods are produced by molding and sintering PTFE material. This process is suitable for larger rod diameters and for applications that require semi-finished material for later fabrication or machining.
Extruded PTFE Rods
Extruded PTFE rods are produced through a PTFE rod extrusion process and are commonly supplied in standard industrial diameters and longer continuous lengths.
PTFE Pasted Rod
Small-diameter pasted PTFE rods are available where thin rod dimensions and longer lengths are required.

How PTFE Rods Are Manufactured
Golden Collar supports both molding and extrusion for PTFE rod production. Machining is a separate secondary process when finished components are required.

What types of PTFE rods does Golden Collar manufacture?
Golden Collar manufactures molded PTFE rods, extruded PTFE rods and pasted PTFE rods. Molded rods cover larger diameters, extruded rods are supplied in common industrial diameters and fixed lengths, and pasted rods cover small diameters from Ø1–4 mm.
What is the difference between molded, extruded and pasted PTFE rod?
The main difference is the manufacturing method and available size range. Molded PTFE rod is formed by molding and sintering, extruded PTFE rod is produced by extrusion, and pasted PTFE rod is used for the small-diameter range listed in Golden Collar's product specifications.
What PTFE rod diameters and lengths are available?
Golden Collar's molded PTFE rod is available in Ø6–500 mm diameters and 100–4,000 mm lengths. Extruded PTFE rod is available in Ø5–200 mm diameters with 1,000 or 2,000 mm lengths. Pasted PTFE rod is available in Ø1–4 mm diameters and 1,000–5,000 mm lengths.
Are virgin PTFE rod and filled PTFE rod available?
Yes. Golden Collar supplies virgin PTFE rod and selected filled PTFE grades. Virgin PTFE is commonly selected for chemical resistance, low friction and electrical insulation, while filled PTFE may be selected when improved wear resistance, reduced creep or dimensional stability is required.
